Friends:

Recent days have been a gift of grief and grace. We are not crushed. We are held by a beloved community. We now know of ashes to ashes, but the days of surrounding and caring for her body were an incomprehensible gift. Every act of practical care proved to be simultaneously sacramental.

To reiterate plans for a Memorial service for Jeanie at 2pm January 8 at Central United Methodist, 43 East Adams (at Woodward) in Detroit. Actually, there will be chanting to gather us in beginning at 1:30. And we expect it to be a couple hours long at least, with a reception of finger food and more memory sharing to follow. WeÕre sending her off with a shout.

Shout with us. Or shout where you are.

Much love, many prayers,

Bill
